At the Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh, we provided beautiful foundations for a wide-ranging refurbishment.
One of the city's most important and popular visitor attractions, after deciding on a fundamental refurbishment the centre asked us to help see the changes through.
It was complex; among other things we created a showcase for the world's largest privately owned whisky collection. Similarly, we formulated designs to accommodate intricate lighting work, and highly sophisticated sound and audio-visual display systems.
It required careful planning; we worked closely with our clients at The Scotch Whisky Experience, as well as design teams in Edinburgh and beyond.
It was comprehensive; the refurbishment included the creation of two sensory rooms, retail space, front entrance and two bars, as well as improvements at the Amber Restaurant.
The redevelopment allowed us to give full rein to the diverse talents of our team, including the ability to plan and oversee major structural work.
Ultimately, we created an environment where visitors could appreciate the history, splendour, character and vibrancy of Scotland's national drink.
Our clients were thrilled with the results – and quick to raise a glass to our efforts.
