A magnificent Oregon Pine-panelled study, carefully crafted bedrooms, lavishly precise bathrooms – at Highland Lodge we demonstrated all of our expertise in traditional woodworking.
The Lodge is an impressive country house set on a private river island in the Scottish Highlands. It was built just a few years ago, but designed specifically in the Scottish baronial style.
We were part of an expert team of architects, designers and craftsmen who gave the Lodge the necessary stamp of authenticity, craftsmanship and quality.
Our initial involvement was intended to be minimal - we were asked merely to supply doors for the house. However, when the owner saw what we were capable of he asked us to do more… and more… and more. In the end we created a vast array of wall panelling, period furniture, dressers, ingoe surrounds, flooring and architraves.
Historical accuracy was key. Our work had to be a perfect complement to the hand carved stonework and intricate plasterwork that are a hallmark of the building.
All of our intensive efforts bore fruit in grand style. Highland lodge has become an elegant country house of exceptional sophistication and quality.
The building provided a series of wonderful challenges and its completion gave our whole team a tremendous sense of pride and satisfaction.
