Links House

Dornoch

Dornoch, an hour to the north of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, has a bit more going on than just golf, but the Links House at Royal Dornoch makes its priorities plain — the first tee is a mere 100 yards from its door. World-class golf doesn’t get closer than this.

After our successful collaboration with Maxwell & Co on the restoration of Skibo Castle, Laurence McIntosh was invited to join the transformation of Links House in Dornoch. The project called for a complete joinery package, designed to set a new standard for luxury
hospitality in the Highlands.

Our scope of work included traditional panelled fire doors, intricately detailed panelled rooms, bespoke dining tables, and the full suite of internal joinery. Each element required precision, care, and a respect for traditional craftsmanship, while also meeting the demands of a modern five-star hotel.

"Links House is recognised as one of the leading small hotels in the world."

Working closely with the client and design team, we combined heritage joinery techniques with contemporary standards of comfort and safety. The result was an exceptional interior that reflects the elegance of the Highlands while delivering the warmth and refinement expected by an international clientele.

Our scope of work included traditional panelled fire doors, intricately detailed panelled rooms, bespoke dining tables, and the full suite of internal joinery.

Today, Links House is recognised as one of the leading small hotels in the world. Our contribution helped create a destination where design, craftsmanship, and hospitality come together to offer an experience of lasting quality.
