Set along the eastern coast of the wild Scottish Highlands, this charming private residence was completely restored by its owner to provide a comfortable basecamp by the sea. Laurence McIntosh was charged with completing all the architectural joinery, including several panelled rooms, a suite of pocket doors, and a substantial in-frame kitchen with a custom-built American-style fridge/freezer.
The A-listed home presented a unique set of challenges – namely the huge responsibility of preserving its exceptional original lines and features, while making changes which would restore the building and improve its efficiency.
