bespoke joinery

Lundies House

Tongue

We were approached by Wildland Limited to contribute to the transformation of Lundies House, a 19th-century manse in the village of Tongue. The project, with GRAS acting as architects, sought to create a retreat that blends contemporary design with the heritage of the far north.

Working closely with Wildland’s head of design, we developed her detailed drawings into bespoke joinery that met the project’s exacting standards. Every piece required precision, care, and a deep respect for the design intent. Our workshop produced custom bedside tables, banquette seating for the restaurant, dining tables, and upholstered headboards, each tailored to the building’ s unique interiors.

"Carefully restored original details anchor the house in a feeling of timeless tradition."

Collaboration was key. By working hand in hand with the Wildland team and architect GRAS, we ensured that every detail aligned with the vision for a space that feels both rooted in place and welcoming to guests from around the world.

"These spaces invite the sharing of good conversation, but also provide intimate corners to quietly settle down with a good book."

Lundies House has since become a celebrated destination in the Highlands. We are honoured to have played a role in shaping such a prestigious and thoughtful project, one that showcases how craft can bring design to life in a setting of remarkable natural beauty.
